About the role
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Seattle, Washington. This position involves providing high-acuity patient care in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery department. The role requires delivering exceptional maternity and neonatal care, functioning as a Baby Nurse during deliveries, and maintaining adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
Schedule
- Nights shift, 12 hours per shift
- Minimum 48 hours per week
- Schedule aligned with unit needs every 6 weeks
Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity obstetric and neonatal care
- Function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries
- Circulate and provide newborn care, including eyes and thigh assessments, Vitamin K injections, and initial evaluations
- Float to postpartum and antepartum care, as well as sister facilities supporting Mother/Baby units
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and AWHONN guidelines
- Utilize EPIC electronic fetal monitoring
Requirements
- Valid state RN license
- 3-5 years of experience in high-acuity obstetric and neonatal care
- Current certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate
- High-risk obstetric experience
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring
- Certification in advanced obstetric and neonatal procedures
- Previous experience in high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery settings

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
