About the role

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a Level 3 maternity unit located in Lewiston, Maine. The role involves providing specialized care for neonatal and obstetric patients, with an emphasis on labor and delivery, postpartum, and c-section circulation. The position offers a schedule of nights, with self-scheduling options.

Responsibilities

• Manage a three-couplet assignment, including triage of obstetrical patients
• Use of external fetal heart monitoring
• Perform neonatal assessments
• Provide care for labor and delivery, postpartum, and c-section circulation

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, or c-section circulation
• Certifications in NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support) are required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and intermediate level training from AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) are preferred
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Pre-approval for RIME offers per contract is not available
• No float rotation required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Level 1 Nursery
• Mother/baby care experience
• Circulating for c-section procedures
