Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Seattle, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care within the Labor and Delivery unit, including postpartum and triage responsibilities, with a focus on teamwork and clinical excellence. The role requires float capabilities within the birth center and nursery, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts are scheduled three days per week, with every other weekend requirement.
Required Qualifications
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or Level 2 nursery experience
- Must have circulating skills for cesarean sections and triage experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with fetal monitoring
- Titratable drips (Mag, Pitocin)
- Handling high-acuity obstetric and neonatal patients
- Scrubbing experience (preferred but not mandatory)
Additional Information

- Float to special care nursery is only required if the candidate has prior experience and prior agreement.
- The unit operates on EPIC electronic medical records and Centricity perinatal fetal monitoring system.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
