About the role
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in Obstetrics and Maternal-Neonatal care is sought for a facility located within the regional area. The position involves providing comprehensive nursing services within a Level 2 maternal and neonatal center, with a focus on antepartum, mother-baby, neonatal intensive care, OB/GYN, and NICU patient populations. This role emphasizes delivering quality care during night shifts and supporting the team's efforts in delivering safe, efficient patient outcomes.
Schedule
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
- Start Date: 09/08/2026
- End Date: 12/08/2026
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Holiday work may be required (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
Requirements
- Active Iowa or Iowa compact/multistate nursing license
- 24 months of current labor and delivery experience
- EPIC electronic medical record experience
- NRP certificate
- Intermediate or Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certificate
- STABLE certificate
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
- Medication administration experience (glucose, magnesium, Pitocin, insulin)
- Valid driver's license
- Professional references or evaluations from within the past 24 months, including supervisor or nurse manager
- Work history must include labor and delivery experience
- Skills specific to labor and delivery nursing
- All candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Nursery/Mother-Baby experience
- Postpartum experience
- NICU experience
- Travel experience within the last 15 months
