Job Summary
The laboratory and delivery department in Utica, New York, is seeking qualified professionals for a labor and delivery unit. This position involves providing care for obstetric patients throughout antepartum, intra-partum, and postpartum stages, as well as GYN and neonatal care. The role requires flexibility for floating between units as needed, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.
Job Details
- Shift: Days, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a schedule of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State Registered Nurse license
- Certified in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Up-to-date resume demonstrating 4-5 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including documented travel experience
- Proficient in EMR systems such as EPIC/Stork
- Valid drivers license with consistent address matching demographics
- Active NURSYS report verification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OBIX (program feeding information into Stork), preferred but not required
- Float rotation may be required as per unit needs
Additional Information
- The unit includes 18 beds, comprising triage, antepartum, ORs for cesarean sections, recovery beds, and L&D beds
- Common patient diagnoses include obstetrics and GYN conditions, with care provided to any pregnant patient
- Scrub color is ceiling blue

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
