Unit Overview

• 18 LDRP rooms
• 14-bed OB Triage
• 8-bed Antepartum Unit
• Average Deliveries: 8–10 deliveries/day
• 322–344 deliveries/month
• ~3,863 deliveries/year
• 2 fully equipped C-section ORs
• Level II Early Gestation Unit (28+ weeks)
• Level I Trauma Center

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• NRP

Required Experience

• Recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Must have C-section circulating and recovery experience
• Computer charting experience (Cerner strongly preferred)
• Comfortable caring for laboring and preterm patients
• Scrubbing C-sections is not required

Required Clinical Skills

• Independently circulate and recover C-sections
• Titrating: Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate
• Labor management
• Fetal monitoring
• Emergency obstetric care
• EMR & Equipment: Cerner EMR, Fetal Link fetal monitoring system

Support Services

• OB Hospitalist in-house 24/7
• Anesthesia available 24/7
• Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
• IV Team available
• Pharmacy available 24/7

Charge Nurses

• No Nurse Aides

Shift & Scheduling

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• No mandatory call (voluntary only)
• Holiday coverage preferred
• Floating may float to Mother/Baby (Postpartum) as needed

Dress Code

• Blue scrubs
