About the role
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse is needed for a high-volume, Level IV maternal designation facility located in Austin, Texas. This busy delivery unit performs over 500 deliveries per month and offers comprehensive maternal care with in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage. The position involves night shifts in a fast-paced environment focused on high-risk obstetric cases and perinatal care.

Requirements
- BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
- Texas Registered Nurse license
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
- Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- 2 years minimum of Labor and Delivery or perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
- Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of perinatal clinical experience in high-volume delivery settings
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
Unit Details
The unit includes 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 mother-baby couplet rooms, and 14 monitored ante-partum rooms. It serves as both an academic teaching service and a large private OB practice, with expanding facilities planned for mid-2026.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
