About the role

Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) located in a rural community hospital setting. This position involves providing specialized care in the labor and delivery department, supporting patients through childbirth and postpartum recovery, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and AWHONN guidelines. The assignment spans from September 14, 2026, to November 16, 2026, with a nightly shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care in labor and delivery, including fetal monitoring using GE Centricity/wireless fetal monitors
• Support patients through childbirth and postpartum recovery
• Adhere to safety protocols and AWHONN guidelines
• Work in a busy, high-acuity environment with a focus on maternal and neonatal safety
• Participate in operating room procedures as a circulator or scrub nurse within the labor and delivery unit (preferred)

Requirements

• Valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Minimum of 5 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience
• Current nursing license and certifications prior to start date
• Experience with clinical fetal monitoring equipment, specifically GE Centricity/wireless fetal monitors

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with circulating or scrubbing in operating room procedures in a labor and delivery setting
• Rural community hospital experience

Schedule

• Nights: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Assignment dates: September 14, 2026 – November 16, 2026
