About the Role
This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy labor and delivery unit equipped with advanced fetal monitoring systems and supportive technology. The role requires managing laboring patients, high-risk pregnancies, and assisting with obstetric emergencies in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Travel RN for Labor and Delivery at a dedicated women's pavilion with 15 labor rooms, 3 triage bays, and 2 operating rooms in Salt Lake City, Utah. Float rotation may be required.
Responsibilities
- Manage laboring patients and high-risk pregnancies
- Assist with obstetric emergencies
- Interpret fetal monitoring
- Circulate Cesarean sections
- Manage labor inductions and augmentations
- Provide postpartum recovery and neonatal stabilization
- Demonstrate strong assessment skills and excellent communication
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN preferred)
- Competence in fetal monitoring interpretation, circulating Cesarean sections, and managing high-risk obstetric patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with operative vaginal deliveries
- Antepartum management
- External cephalic versions
- Cerclages
- NICU or newborn stabilization experience

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
