Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - $1,945 per week

Labor and Delivery Department nurse position available in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves providing specialized obstetric care within a busy obstetrics and gynecology unit, supporting both labor and postpartum patients. Job Details
- Location: 211 4TH ST, Alexandria, LA 71301
- Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
- Schedule: Night shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- CURRENT Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum of 1 year of obstetric nursing experience
- Louisiana state license preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to scrub
- Proficiency in starting IVs and drawing labs
- Interpret fetal strips
- Understanding of obstetric procedures such as vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, amniocentesis, amnioinfusions, IUPC/FSE placement
- Ability to work in a closed unit C/L to postpartum setting
Responsibilities
- Assisting with labor and delivery procedures
- Monitoring fetal and maternal status
- Responding to obstetric emergencies
- Following unit guidelines and policies
- Participating in weekend rotations and on-call duties as required
Additional Information
- Unit equipped with: fetal monitors, intrauterine pressure catheters, fetal scalp electrodes, fluid warmers, IV pumps, epidural pumps, electronic medical records with CPN and Meditech systems

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
