Position Details Unit Type: L&D (Labor and Delivery) Shift Schedule: Days, every third weekend, and holidays as needed Shift Length: 12 hours Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Qualifications Years of Experience: 2 years required Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Unit Information Department: LDRP Bed Capacity: 4 L&D beds and 7 postpartum beds Labor Ratios: 1:1-2, Postpartum: 1:2-3 Common Treatments: Magnesium, Oxytocin, Lactated Ringer's, Zofran, Prenatal vitamins, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Percocet, Toradol Equipment Utilized: Neonatal vent CPAP Bipap High flow oxygen Electronic Fetal Monitoring System: OB Trace Vue Orientation and Support Orientation: 3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation provided Scrubs: Provided Additional Notes This position operates within a rural healthcare environment, with a significant distance from a NICU. Successful candidates will exhibit strong teamwork, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
