Job Summary

Nurse Manager Labor & Delivery in San Luis Obispo, California. This leadership position involves overseeing unit operations, supervising clinical staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care in a busy obstetric unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

  • Location: San Luis Obispo, California

  • Schedule: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts, 1800 0630, with no set schedule or rotating shifts. Minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in nursing or an equivalent combination of education and related experience

  • Masters Degree preferred

  • Five years of technical experience preferred

  • At least two years of supervisor experience required

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice

  • AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (or ARC-ALS)

  • AHA-Basic Life Support (BLS) (or ARC-BLS)

  • AHA-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (or ARC-NALS)

  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification

  • CPR certification or BLS from an approved vendor

Additional Information

  • This role entails providing unit-based leadership, supervising staff, managing patient care activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

  • Must have at least 2 years of supervisor experience, charge nurse experience, and relevant certifications completed within the past two years.

  • No call required.
