About the role
Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment starting on August 24, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Circulate between labor and delivery units, operating rooms for C-sections, and postpartum units.
- Manage up to 10 labor and delivery beds, 2 operating rooms, 4 triage beds, and 10 postpartum beds.
- Handle approximately 120 births per month on average.
- Adhere to AWHONN guidelines for labor and delivery, including 1:1 ratios in L&D and 1:6 couple care in postpartum.
- Titrate drips, primarily Pitocin, but also magnesium sulfate and occasionally insulin, according to protocols.
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
- A stable certification (taken at least once).
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.
- Labor and delivery experience required.
- Postpartum experience preferred.
- Triage experience strongly preferred.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Experience titrating drips, particularly Pitocin.
