About the role
Travel Labor and Delivery RN position at a 25-bed critical access hospital. The role requires floating to Med Surg, including nursery, labor, and mother/baby care. Must be willing to assist on Med Surg when there are no OB patients, either by taking patients or floating to the unit as a helper. Orientation to Med Surg will be provided; prior Med Surg experience is not required. Facility offers a shared house for travel nurses.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, and Med Surg units
- Float to Med Surg as needed, including assisting with patient care when OB census is low
- Work at least 50% of shifts in Med Surg
- Work every other weekend
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
- Fetal monitoring competency
- Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
- First-time travel nurses and local candidates accepted
Schedule
- 3x12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
