Responsibilities
- Administer blood/products
- Manage CVC/PICC lines
- Start and maintain peripheral IVs
- Administer medications (anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, heparin, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, oxytocin)
- Assist with circumcision
- Provide car seat education
- Perform cord care
- Deliver discharge teaching
- Administer IV antibiotics
- Conduct newborn assessments
- Manage neonatal abstinence syndrome
- Perform pain management (opioids, pain assessment)
- Follow baby-friendly protocols
- Provide couplet care
- Perform incision care
- Adhere to isolation precautions
- Perform phlebotomy
- Administer vaccines
- Patient ratio: 1:3
- Unit scrub color: Navy Blue
Requirements
- 2 years of experience required; Level 2 experience required (charge experience preferred)
- Active MO or compact RN license at time of submittal
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
- CPI certification will be required starting January 2026
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Weekends: Every third weekend required
