Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to obstetric patients, including antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Administer medications and manage patient IVs, including MgSO4 and Pitocin.
• Monitor fetal well-being using EFM and perform assessments for high-risk antepartum patients.
• Deliver couplet care alongside mothers and newborns and assist in care for hysterectomy patients.
• Educate parents on discharge instructions and newborn care, including car seat education.
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation sessions for onboarding new staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in Labor & Delivery and postpartum settings.
• Active RN license required (State or Compact License).
• Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN (required for fetal monitoring); STABLE
