Schedule
This position offers a night shift schedule of 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend (EOW) and holiday coverage as needed.
About the role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery unit. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to all pregnant patients and those who are six weeks postpartum. The position includes triage and labor checks and may involve floating across various facilities as needed. The nurse will join a team focused on patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct labor checks and triage of obstetric patients.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide postpartum care.
- Administer medications and perform various treatment procedures.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and respond to any complications during labor.
- Provide support for breastfeeding and lactation needs of new mothers.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Labor and Delivery setting.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Certification in ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, and FHM required.
- AWHONN Advanced is preferred.
- Previous charge nurse experience is a plus.
- Experience with the EPIC charting system is required.
