Job Summary

Aya Healthcare has an immediate opening for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Winfield, KS. This position offers competitive pay and travel opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Administer blood and blood products
• Manage antihypertensive medications
• Perform circumcision and assess post-operative sites
• Implement baby-friendly protocols and breastfeeding support
• Perform cesarean sections and cord care
• Provide discharge teaching to parents
• Chart using CPSI
• Manage IVs and infusion pumps
• Perform external and internal fetal monitoring
• Administer phototherapy and vaccines
• Manage neonatal abstinence syndrome
• Perform fundus, lochia, and perineum care
• Assist with vaginal and episiotomy/incisional care
• Monitor and manage magnesium sulfate therapy
• Manage epidural anesthesia
• Assist with sterile speculum exams and vaginal exams
• Perform neonatal assessments and manage newborn hypoglycemia
• Manage labor and delivery processes
• Manage postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension
• Manage multiple births and neonatal conditions
• Triage obstetric patients
• Manage facility births under 100 per month
• Manage radiators and thermoregulation
• Manage isolation precautions and PPE
• Manage and teach circumcision care to parents
• Manage and perform various procedures and treatments

Requirements

• Experience: 1 year
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRPL
• Licenses: KS License or Compact License
• Travel Experience: Required
• Charge Nurse Experience: Preferred
