Aya Healthcare is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Baltimore, MD. This role offers competitive pay and a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Administer antihypertensives, drawing venous blood, and Foley catheter insertion/management
- Manage isolation precautions and PPE, perform labor and delivery procedures, and manage epidural anesthesia
- Assist with high-risk deliveries, assist with sterile speculum exams, and perform episiotomy/incisional care
- Perform fundus/lochia/perineum care, hemorrhage/shock management, and assist with vaginal deliveries
- Provide postpartum hemorrhage care, administer medications like magnesium sulfate and prostaglandins, and perform external fetal monitoring
- Monitor and manage newborns, provide breastfeeding support, and perform neonatal assessments
- Complete various documentation tasks using Cerner charting system
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Current MD license or compact license
- Preferred previous charge nurse experience
