About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients under the direction of a licensed physician. The RN must possess strong knowledge of nursing principles, theories, current methods, and techniques. Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates effectively with patients, their family members/significant others, professional peers, and other healthcare team members to provide individualized patient care. The RN is also responsible for directing nursing support staff in patient care provision per established nursing standards and administrative policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, implement, and evaluate patient care as directed by licensed physicians.
  • Utilize nursing processes to collaborate with patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Direct nursing support staff in the execution of patient care.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures in delivering patient care.

Schedule

  • 3 shifts of 12 hours each (36 hours per week).
  • AM shift: 07:00 to 19:30.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in the area of clinical specialty preferred.
  • Valid PA Registered Nurse License required.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Multi-State Compact RN License required.
