The role is for a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery in Ithaca, New York.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and families with needs ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex.
- Quickly recognize normal parameters, deviations, and abnormalities in patients' physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status.
- Use a person-centered care approach in the development of care plans.
- Plan care for patients, effectively prioritizing both expected and unanticipated needs.
- Involves patients and families in establishing care goals.
- Demonstrate critical thinking by making appropriate clinical decisions.
- Implement technical skills required for patient care competently.
- Remain current on policies, procedures, and standards, acting as a resource to peers.
- Facilitate the linking of patients and families with other disciplines and services as needed.
Requirements
- Labor and Delivery experience required; postpartum experience preferred.
- State License Verification required for submission.
- Centralus skill checklist completion is required for onboarding.
- Must provide a current COVID-19 vaccination status, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and TB test results during onboarding.

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
