Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Thousand Oaks, California.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Labor and DeliveryDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelLabor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information Location: Thousand Oaks, CA Unit: Labor & Delivery Number of Beds: 9 LDRs and 4 additional beds for triage and outpatient testing Number of Staff: 43 General Information Staff Composition Director/Manager Day Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator or Charge RN, 4-5 RNs, 1 Meal Break RN, OB Tech, Unit Assistant Night Shift: Same as above Patient Ratios 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 Equipment Hospital beds GE Novii and wired fetal monitors OR equipment Electronic Medical Records (EMR) CPN/Meditech Typical Hiring Profile Required Skills Excellent Critical Thinking Skills BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications Fetal monitoring experience (minimum 2 years) C-Section Circulator and Post CS recovery experience Ability to perform vaginal exams Experience caring for laboring patients, including C-Section and vaginal delivery and recovery Experience with high-risk antepartum patients including gestational hypertension and diabetes Knowledge of obstetrical emergencies, including hemorrhage Care of the newborn within the first hour of life, including breastfeeding and initial latch Strong customer service skills Preferred Skills Scrub experience NCC certification in Inpatient Obstetrics or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Typical Procedures Performed Labor and Delivery Management, including vaginal exams Outpatient testing: Non-Stress Test (NST), Contraction Stress Test (CST), Biophysical Profile (BPP) OB Triage, OBED, Medical Screening Exams (MSE) External Cephalic Version, Cervical Cerclage Office-based Injections Best Personality Fit Flexible and adaptable Positive attitude Collaborative and a team player Required Certifications ACLS BLS NRP Floating Area Mother Baby Dress Code Scrub Color/Attire: Navy scrubs Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.Thrive Staffing Job ID #19195761.
