Travel L&D RN - $2,542 per week

Requirements

• Driver’s license required at submittal; used to verify 50-mile radius rule
• Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated
• Artificial nails prohibited in patient-care departments; refusal to remove will terminate contract
• RN pass/fail exam on Friday during orientation (open-book skills exam; 90% required to pass or contract is terminated)
• Certifications Required: BLS, NRP
• Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience

Responsibilities

• Department: LDRP RN
• Facility averages 400 births per year
• 15 LDRP beds (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
• AWHONN ratio guidelines: 1:3, 1:1 for laboring patients
• Common diagnoses/patient types: obstetrics, postpartum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN, pregnancy with hypertension or diabetes
• RNs required to titrate drips (common drips: Pitocin, Magnesium, Procardia)
• Floating is rare and only for critical staffing; tasks limited to sitting or non-clinical duties

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, 6–7 days per week
• Manager completes schedule
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: yes, if needed
• No call or standby requirement
• RTO (requested time off) allowed upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract); additional RTO not approved
