Travel L&D RN - $2,506 per week

About the Role

Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Carthage, Tennessee. This position involves working across Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum units in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital.

The schedule includes 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and as-needed coverage. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, starting 09/14/2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum units
• Work 3x12-hour call shifts per 4-week schedule
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:2
• Perform fetal monitoring
• Care for both maternity patients and newborns
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• Comfortable caring for maternity patients and newborns
• Fetal monitoring experience required
• Tennessee or qualifying RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN certification preferred
• Ability to wear any color scrubs
• Experience with Meditech EMR

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS certification
• Couplet care experience
• Centricity or additional Meditech experience

Unit Details

• 2 Labor beds
• 3 Postpartum beds
• Combined L&D, Nursery, and Postpartum coverage
• Maternity and newborn patient population

Travel & Local Rules

• Must live 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• Tennessee Abuse Registry check required before start

Location

Carthage, Tennessee – approximately 1 hour from Nashville. Located along the Cumberland River with access to fishing, boating, and other outdoor recreation.
