Travel L&D RN - $2,151 per week

About the Role

Travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery in Dickson, Tennessee. This is a 12-week assignment with a start date of 09/07/2026, requiring 36 hours per week on a night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).

Unit Specifics

• Number of Beds: LDRP (9 beds), OBED (1 bed), NICU (4 beds), 1 OR suite
• Patient Ratios:
  • 1:1 for active labors, inductions, C-sections, couplet care
  • 1:3 for newborns until stable
  • 1:3 for NICU intermediate care (2 NICU nurses must be in the unit if there are patients)
• Unit staffing: No techs or unit secretaries available
• Type of equipment:
  • CPN Central monitoring
  • IV pumps
  • Infant warmers
  • Tele-med robot for neonatologist
  • Bili-blankets
  • PCA pumps
• Documentation system: Meditech and CPN

Responsibilities

• Labor and delivery experience, including laboring and recovering the mother
• Receiving and transitioning the newborn, including assessment
• Handling OB emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage
• Experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil)
• Procedures performed on unit:
  • C-sections
  • Circumcisions
  • Intra-uterine monitoring
  • Vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Fetal Monitoring training
• Advanced skills needed: Fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions
