About the role

Malone Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN for a position in Bon Air, Virginia. The unit is a 24-bed Maternal Infant Unit located at CJW Johnston Willis, 1401 Johnston Willis Drive, Richmond, VA 23235 on the 3rd floor of the Atrium building.

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts, days and nights

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 24
• Number of Staff: 71
• Day Shift Staff: labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, educator
• Night Shift Staff: labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary
• Patient Ratios: labor 1:1 (most of the time), post-partum 5-6:1, nursery 5-6:1
• Equipment: GE fetal monitors
• EMR: Meditech, CPN

Responsibilities

• Perform vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and care for antepartum patients
• Provide newborn and post-partum care

Requirements

• At least 2 years of labor experience (2+ years preferred, especially in an LDRP with high birth volumes)
• BLS certification (REQUIRED)
• ACLS certification (REQUIRED)
• NRP certification (REQUIRED)
• AWHONN Fetal monitoring certification (REQUIRED)
