About the Role

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina. This position places you in an 853-bed hospital that serves as the region’s only Level I trauma center and features a Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). This teaching hospital is Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence and provides advanced maternity and women’s health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care in a travel assignment setting
• Work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Apply strong perinatal care skills in a high-acuity environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state
• At least 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS certification
• NRP-AHA AAP - NRP Advanced certification
• CERT-FHM certification
• SSN and DOB required
• Work history should not have more than 90 days of gap in the last 1 year

Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN High Risk experience
• Travel contract experience
• Circulating experience
• Experience with Cerner EMR systems
