About the role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Labor and Delivery to join our dedicated team in Asheville, NC. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to expectant mothers and newborns while ensuring the highest quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and provide care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Support mothers through the birthing process, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using electronic fetal monitoring equipment.
• Administer medications and carry out physician's orders.
• Ensure immediate newborn care and attend to special needs as required.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• High-risk experience is required.
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification.
• NRP and BLS certifications are mandatory.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

• 13-week contract position.
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM).
