About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in Asheville, NC. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in a state-of-the-art facility recognized for excellence in clinical quality and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and monitor vital signs throughout the labor and delivery process.
• Provide immediate newborn care and support to new mothers.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other related procedures.
• Utilize advanced fetal monitoring equipment and manage medications as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on pregnancy, labor, and post-delivery care.

Requirements

• RN license with at least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• High-risk pregnancy experience preferred.
• Current NRP and BLS/ALS certifications required.
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification strongly preferred.

Schedule

• 13-week contract position.
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM).
