About the Role

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level 2 trauma center in Bismarck, North Dakota. This role involves working in an acute care setting within the Interventional Radiology unit, which includes two fluoro rooms, CT utilization, and two mini rooms for ultrasound procedures.

The position offers 8-hour day shifts with a possibility of staying to finish cases started late. Call is required on an evening and weekend rotation, averaging around 10 or fewer days per month. The technologist will work independently on smaller interventional cases and in a two-person team for larger angiography procedures, with potential floating to the CT/Cat Scan department to assist with procedures. 40 hours per week are guaranteed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist radiologists during procedures, including scrubbing in and coordinating the room during cases
  • Schedule and code procedures
  • Perform post-procedure film processing, charting, and billing for cases and supplies
  • Work independently on smaller interventional cases and in a two-person team for larger angiography procedures
  • Float to CT/Cat Scan department to assist with procedures as needed
  • Complete unit-specific training, including EMR training and general equipment and protocol review

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
  • ARRT (R) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • North Dakota Medical Imaging Board registration (NDMIRT) required (takes approximately 4 weeks to obtain)
  • Background check required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are not accepted
  • Clinicians who previously worked for this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission

Schedule

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: 08/31/2026
  • Shift: 8-hour days, 5x8hrs per week
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (guaranteed)
  • Call required on an evening and weekend rotation, averaging around 10 or fewer days per month

  • All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
