Travel IR Technologist - $3,550 per week

About the Role

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Peoria, Illinois. This role is in a Level 1 trauma acute care setting, requiring 2+ years of vascular/endovascular experience and proficiency with GE equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Vascular Surgery/IR department of a Level 1 trauma acute care facility.
• Perform procedures in a single procedure suite averaging 3 cases per day, including endovascular (IR) and vascular procedures.
• Use EPIC EMR for documentation.
• Work 4x9-hour day shifts (alternative schedules may be discussed during the interview).
• Take weeknight call 1-2 nights per week with a 30-minute response time.
• Take weekend call from Sat 7am to Mon 7am, rotating every 3rd weekend.
• Participate in holiday call rotation.
• Float within like units and assist with Surgical Tech duties as needed.
• Scrub, gown, and handle setup/takedown of the procedure room.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Vascular/Endovascular procedures.
• IR experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with GE equipment.
• ARRT certification required (RCIS not accepted).
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• State license required if applicable.

Additional Information

• Facility has a Charge Nurse and/or House Supervisor on every shift.
• Unit-specific orientation includes one week of scrubbing alongside a hospital surgical tech.
• Hospital-provided scrubs.
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction on eligibility.
• Facility does not require COVID vaccination.

Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks.
• Hours: 36 hours per week.
• Shift: 9 hours, days (4x9-hour shifts).
• Start Date: August 31, 2026.
