Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $3,571 per week

About the role

Host Healthcare is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting July 25, 2026 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of an interventional radiologist.
• Assist in the planning and execution of interventional procedures using fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and administering contrast media.
• Operate equipment such as ultrasound machines, CT scanners, and MRI systems.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain records according to regulatory standards.
• Ensure sterile technique during procedures to minimize infection risk.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as an Interventional Radiology Technologist in the state of Alabama.
• Experience in performing diagnostic imaging procedures and assisting with interventional procedures.
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and sterile technique.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Completion of an accredited interventional radiology technologist program.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in interventional radiology.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
