About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week position in Charleston, West Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Operate the fluoroscopic equipment
- Assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
- Prepare and observe patients undergoing the procedure
- Monitor patients during all procedures
- Demonstrate knowledge of radiation protection standards
- Interpret examination requests accurately
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- 1 year of recent acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification
- Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Qualifications
- BLS, ARRT (VI), 1 Year
Skills
- Knowledge of radiation protection standards
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Ability to operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps
- Good communication skills
