American Traveler is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Des Moines, Iowa.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Interventional Radiology TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 09/21/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 10 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 4x10hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Sep 21, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cath Lab position requiring ARRT or RCIS certification and prior vascular/IR lab experience.DetailsCath Lab-Interventional Vascular unit performing approximately 25 vascular procedures per dayPatient population consists of vascular procedure casesDays schedule with 4x10-hour shifts starting at 7am, 40 hours per weekRequired call rotation of every 3rd evening and every 3rd weekendRequired to float across campuses when neededCall team covers both facilities with most emergencies occurring at the Level I trauma facilityUses Epic EMRRequirementsActive ARRT (R) certification requiredARRT (CI or VI) highly preferredRCIS/CCI certification a plusBLS certification requiredActive Iowa Radiology license highly preferred, will consider candidates in the licensing process12 months of vascular procedure experience in a hospital or medical center setting requiredScrub, circulate, and monitor experience requiredCardiac Cath Lab/CCL experience in a hospital or medical center setting requiredCurrent or prior experience supporting Operating Room procedures requiredPeripheral vascular experience requiredLevel I trauma experience preferredDriver's license required for considerationProfessional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferredAdditional InformationResponsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during interventional vascular proceduresCandidates must complete a clinical phone interview as part of the screening processMust reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligibleHoliday coverage required for 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closedFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyPast UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separationAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-744213.
