About the role
Join our small community hospital in Philadelphia, where we treat fewer than 20 patients daily, providing a blend of inpatient and outpatient care. Our team typically consists of 2-3 technicians and 3-4 Registered Nurses (RNs) per shift. This position includes daytime shifts from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM, covering 5 eight-hour shifts per week. Weekends are on call only.
Responsibilities
- Perform various procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, line placements, lumbar punctures, biopsies, drain placements, and dialysis work.
- Care for patients undergoing procedures such as GI bleeds, UAEs, port placements, G-tube placements/replacements, and nephrostomy tube placements/replacements.
- Ensure a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1, offering personalized patient care.
- Utilize Epic to look up patient information and prepare for procedures.
- Assist in setting up tables and scrubbing in with physicians as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
- Must possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Familiarity with Siemens Artis Zee and GE Ultrasounds is preferred.

Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency. Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
