Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $3,220 per week
About the role
TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a position in Kansas City, Kansas. The role involves operating fluoroscopic equipment and assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients
- Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps
- Monitor patient during all procedures
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques on patient and operator exposure
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- 1 year of recent acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification
- Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
- Must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Qualifications
- ARRT (VI)
- BLS
- 3 Years of experience
Skills
- Knowledge of radiation protection standards
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to operate I.V. and dye injector pumps
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
