About the role

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a contract with one of their top healthcare clients. The position is located in Richmond, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with patient care in the Interventional Radiology Department through the provision of technical assistance to the IR team.
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
  • Operate conventional, fluoroscopic or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders.
  • Absorb and pass instruments and catheters, observe patient response to procedure, maintain sterile field, interpret and evaluate diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician.
  • Absolutely ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
  • Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
  • Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.

Requirements

  • Current License in good standing
  • Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
  • Eighteen months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting
  • Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule
