About the role

The role of Interventional Radiology Technologist involves assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures that guide instruments through a patient's blood vessels and organs. Specific procedures may include angioplasty and biopsies.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using imaging equipment.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
• Operate imaging equipment to capture images during procedures.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records.
• Ensure sterile conditions and follow infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field from an accredited program.
• Current certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio.
• Must have a valid Social Security number.
