About the role
The role of an Interventional Radiology Technologist involves assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures that guide instruments through a patient's blood vessels and organs. Procedures may include angioplasty and biopsies.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures
- Prepare and position patients for imaging and diagnostic procedures
- Operate equipment to capture images and monitor patient conditions
- Document patient information accurately and securely
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist from a recognized organization
- Experience in a related healthcare field preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a relevant educational program
- Passing scores on required certification exams
- Current CPR certification
