Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Schedule

• Full-time schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 5 days a week
• Weekends: On-call availability only
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8 hours, days

Patient care details

The facility sees an average of fewer than 20 patients daily, with cases including but not limited to:

• Thoracentesis
• Paracentesis
• Line placements
• Lumbar punctures (LPs)
• Biopsies
• Drain placements
• Dialysis work
• Gastrointestinal (GI) bleeds
• Uterine artery embolizations (UAE)
• Port placements and replacements
• G-tube placements and replacements
• Nephrostomy tube placements and replacements
• Cholecystostomy tube placements and replacements

Staffing and ratios

• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2 (up to 1:1 as needed)
• Unit Size: Interventional Radiology (IR) has two rooms and three holding bays; the hospital has 148 beds
• Our nursing staff typically consists of 3-4 RNs and 2-3 techs per shift

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required

Core responsibilities

The successful RN candidate will:

• Prepare and maintain the surgical and procedural environment
• Assist in patient care procedures and ensure adherence to safety protocols
• Utilize the Epic system for patient management and documentation

Equipment knowledge

Familiarity with the following equipment is preferred:

• Siemens Artis Zee
• GE Ultrasounds

Call requirements

While on-call, staff may need to stay later than scheduled if required, but will rarely be called in overnight or on weekends. The department operates on a call-only basis during holidays.
