About the role
Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist position available in a healthcare facility located in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves performing diagnostic and invasive procedures within the Interventional Radiology department, supporting the care team during procedures, operating specialized imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position is suitable for candidates with relevant experience and established certifications seeking a temporary assignment.
Responsibilities
- Support diagnostic and invasive procedures in Interventional Radiology
- Operate imaging and patient care equipment
- Administer contrast materials
- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
- Work with oncology, dialysis, neurology, and pulmonary embolism patient populations in a high-acuity environment
- Float rotation may be required as mandated by the facility
Requirements
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Minimum of two years experience in Interventional Radiology
- Valid licensure in ARRT (R)
- Proficiency in operating Siemens imaging equipment
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices
- Experience with contrast media
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced registry certifications such as VI (Vascular Intervention), CV (Cardiovascular), or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
Schedule
- Days, 5x8 shifts, 07:30 AM – 05:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- 10-hour shifts
