TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a position in Des Moines, Iowa. The role involves operating fluoroscopic equipment, assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures, and monitoring patients.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support
- Absorb and observe patients during procedures
- Maintain radiation protection standards and report abnormal activity
- Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- 1 year of recent acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification
- Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a BLS, ARRT (R), CCI (RCIS), and 1 Year of experience. State-specific licensing may be required.
Skills
Knowledge of radiation protection standards, intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps, and the McKesson PACS system are essential.
Benefits
The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
