About the role

The position involves performing vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures using specialized radiographic equipment. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for ensuring patient safety and providing clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Develop and maintain skills in various clinical systems including McKesson RIS, Physician Portal, PCM, PMM, Kronos, PACS, PHS, and Teletrak.
  • Maintain equipment performance to specifications.
  • Aid in maintaining an adequate supply of patient care materials.
  • Ensure relevant exam information is captured during the exam.
  • Assist radiologists in performing exams, focusing on clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Interventional Radiographer.
  • Independent decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of patient safety and precautions.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Ability to relate positively to residents and families, and work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Regular attendance and meeting local health regulations.
  • Pass a post-offer health assessment.
  • Physical and sensory requirements: walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, hearing, reading, writing, verbal and written communication, remaining calm under stress, distinguishing smells, tastes, and temperatures.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiographer.

Skills

  • Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment.
  • Knowledge of vascular and neuroradiology procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and patient safety.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Pay

The pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
