Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $2,829 per week

About the role

Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist position in Florence, South Carolina. Start date October 12, 2026, 13‑week assignment, 40 hours per week, day shifts (8 hours). Employment type: travel. One opening.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures on adult and geriatric patients.
• Maintain sterile technique, infection control, and PPE/isolation precautions.
• Manage radiation safety; wear and monitor radiation badge (provided by agency).
• Handle call and weekend rotations: call required, rotating with two other technologists, every third weekend.
• Average of about 4 cases per technologist per day.
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system.
• Wear OR scrubs provided by the facility.
• No floating to other units.
• Submit required travel documentation (RTO) upfront.
• Facility may call off one shift every two weeks.
• Ensure flu vaccination (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID vaccination not required.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of interventional radiology experience.
• General IR experience required.
• ARRT(R) certification, BLS, and SCQRSA licensure required.
• First‑time travelers are accepted.
• Neuro IR experience preferred.
• Locals within 60 miles of Florence, SC are not accepted.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) registered.
• Current BLS certification.
• SCQRSA (South Carolina Qualified Radiologic Sciences Assistant) license.
• Ability to meet flu vaccine requirement (exemptions permitted).

Skills

• Sterile technique and infection control.
• Proper use of PPE and isolation precautions.
• Radiation safety and badge monitoring.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR.
• Ability to handle call and weekend rotations.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations.
