Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $2,647 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This position requires 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift and is classified as a travel role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Cardiac Lab procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock and functionality, including instrument sterilization if applicable.
• Prepare patients and equipment for cardiac lab procedures: site preparation, patient draping, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
• Operate and maintain quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab, with knowledge of all related laboratory equipment.
• Scrub in during procedures, assisting physicians in maneuvering catheters.
• Obtain and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers, as well as digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
• Monitor the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab.
• Participate in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Cath Lab Rads should be able to stand, walk for long periods, and bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• ARRT (R) - CI (Cardiac-Interventional Radiography) preferred or CCI-RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification.
• State-specific licensing when required.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
