About the role

This position requires an active X-ray license and experience in either Interventional Radiology or the Cath Lab. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic exams and assisting with interventional procedures as needed.

Contract Details

  • Length of Contract: 13 weeks with ongoing needs
  • On-Call Requirements: Up to 10 days per month when fully staffed; currently expected to be 2 days per week
  • Hours per Shift: Open to 8 or 10-hour shifts, with start times varying between 7 AM and 9 AM depending on the day of the week
  • No weekend requirements currently, with potential for Saturday or Sunday call in the future
  • EPIC is used for documentation
  • Installation of a new Siemens IR suite scheduled for June 3

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic exams and interventional procedures following established protocols
  • Utilize PACS and EMR systems effectively
  • Maintain competency in IV and contrast administration
  • Ensure proper patient positioning, exposure control, and radiation protection
  • Handle office duties as needed, including cleaning and stocking imaging rooms
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all team members involved in patient care
  • Inspect and clean departmental equipment regularly

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Radiology or related field
  • Active Illinois license from IEMA
  • ARRT Certification in Radiology
  • Interventional Radiology certification not required, but relevant experience is essential
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical experience, with a focus on Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab

Schedule

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift: 8 hours, days
