Travel assignment for an Interventional Radiology Technologist in Salt Lake City, Utah.
About the role
This role involves preparing patients for vascular and interventional imaging procedures, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring quality image production. The position requires collaboration with healthcare providers to deliver safe, efficient, and effective diagnostic and interventional services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for vascular and interventional imaging procedures
- Identify patient exam needs and produce quality images
- Complete documentation and maintain clean work areas
- Transport patients and develop knowledge of invasive and interventional supplies
- Apply procedures to achieve hemostasis when indicated
- Understand x-ray generation and safety protocols
- Operate imaging equipment and provide patient education
- Assist in procedural tasks according to policies and scope of practice
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- ARRT registration
- State of Utah Radiologic Technologist License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Vascular/Interventional radiography certification or one year of Angio/Interventional experience
- 0.0 years of experience (entry-level acceptable)
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS or PALS certification
Skills
- Vascular and interventional experience
- Patient identification and exam preparation
- Proficiency with diagnostic procedures and equipment operation
- Computer use and medication preparation
- Manual dexterity and ability to lift heavy items
- Ability to navigate busy environments and stand for extended periods
Schedule
- Days, 4 shifts of 10 hours each per week
- On-call requirements
- Assignment duration: 13 weeks (09/14/2026 – 12/12/2026)
- 40 hours per week
