Travel Interventional Radiology Technician - $3,056 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The position requires 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and operates on a day shift.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients
• Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Operate the fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
• Monitor patients during all procedures
• Report abnormal activity
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience
• BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification
• Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Qualifications

• ARRT (VI)
• BLS
• 1 Year

Skills

• Knowledge of radiation protection standards
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology
• Ability to operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps
• Good record-keeping skills
• Effective communication skills
