About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Saint Charles, Missouri. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position involves 8-hour day shifts and is classified as a travel role.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients while providing reassurance and support.
- Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Monitor patients during all procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to minimize patient and operator exposure.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to accurately interpret examination requests and identify abnormalities.
- Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps.
- Maintain accurate patient records using the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification; state-specific licensing where required.
- Vascular Interventional (VI) certificate preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods without difficulty.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
