Travel Interventional Radiology Tech - $2,905 per week

About the role

We're looking for a Radiology RN for an immediate travel assignment in Charlottesville, VA. The right candidate should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

As a Radiology RN, you will work in a diagnostic environment, collaborating with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate and implement diagnostic care using correct procedures and physician instructions. You should be prepared to perform specialized nursing duties and support patients throughout their care.

Responsibilities

• Start or check peripheral IVs, access and assess infusaports, administer medications, and monitor vital signs.
• Suction patients, insert foleys, and assist patients with personal needs.
• Inform the technologist or radiologist of any unusual patient needs.
• Administer IV sedation or analgesia during special procedures.
• Closely monitor patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds easily; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
• Work in environments with potential exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
